The overarching outcome of this research project is to develop a multifactorial agronomic decision tool to guide WCC selection for improved soil health and microbial biodiversity and crop productivity. Trade-offs between crop productivity and soil health will be considered under a precision agriculture framework – increasing the quantity and quality of agricultural output while using less fertilizers, pesticides and energy.
